Educating the Mind, Enriching the Heart, Inspiring the Soul
Experience the difference at JPIIA!
Welcome to the PTO Page!

Following Article II of our By-Laws, the Purpose of the John Paul II Academy PTO is:
  1. To promote understanding and cooperation between home and school.

  2. To assist the principal and the teachers in any capacity needed to improve and strengthen the quality of Catholic education in our school.

  3. To work together to assure that the students of our school have the opportunities to develop to their full potential.

  4. To organize and promote activities to achieve these goals.

In practice, this translates into the organization and implementation of a vast
array of activities with the underlying goal of supporting and improving
virtually every aspect of the process of educating our children - in mind, body,
and spirit.

All these activities present opportunities for everyone from parents,
grandparents and care givers, to friends and neighbors to contribute their time,
talent, treasure, and prayers.

Examples of PTO major fundraisers over the years include the Magazine Drive,
Trivia Night, Taste of JPIIA, and Titan Talent.  Ongoing fundraising by the PTO
includes Market Day, box tops, soup labels, Kroger gift cards, and the Target
REDcards.  These efforts have evolved and continue to evolve in order to keep
these fundraisers productive and cast as wide a net as possible.

Notable initiatives funded or partially funded by the PTO include Minds in
Motion, archery equipment, technology upgrades, the 8th grade trip, graduation,
and $500 scholarships for one boy and one girl to attend a Catholic High School.

The PTO also organizes the room parents; hosts the skating parties; plans staff,
parent, grandparent, and student appreciation events; and provides the teachers
with a stipend to help set up their classrooms each year.

The best ways to get involved are to indicate your interests on a Got-a-Minute
form available in the Registration packet or by calling the school office. Also,
watch for notices in the Wednesday folder.

I encourage everyone to get involved in any way possible.  All help given is
greatly needed, appreciated, and rewarding.
