April, 2008
April will be full of special activities in Pre-K. Our themes this month are “New Life in Spring” and “Derby Festivities”.
In Religion we will continue our study of God’s Gift of Life and More About the Bible. This lesson builds on the changes that your child experiences in growing up. Signs of new growth are all around us as the seasons change.
In Reading and LA, we will continue to read in small and large group settings. Please continue practicing the sight words that we have introduced. We encourage your child to use his/her skills when reading with you. You will be so proud listening to their progress. Our Pizza Hut Book It Program will continue through the end of April.
In Math we are telling time to the hour. We will continue to review number recognition and counting objects 1 – 20 through the end of the school year.
We continue to practice our addresses and phone numbers daily.
We are very excited about our next Science project. After our break, we will be studying the life cycle of a butterfly.
