LITERATURE We have begun reading “Tuck Everlasting” as our last novel. It is a short book with some interesting themes. [Would you like to live forever?] I believe the students have been enriched with the selections we have read this year. They have responded well!
LANGUAGE ARTS For our last project, we will be writing a book for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students. We will do much of the work in the classroom, with the final copy typed. There is a rubric I passed out on May 7. Age appropriateness, vocabulary, content are all very important. It is due May 21 and I hope to present these to the two classes the last week of school!
