Spring is here ! At Last !
As the last of the snow is melting from our big snow storm of 2008, and the thermometer is creeping higher, our children are getting excited about going outside more. Summer vacation will be here before you can make vacation plans. We still have a few weeks of school left and we are always looking for a good book to read.
Our Book Bee Teams are great! On Saturday, March 1st, our four Book Bee teams participated in the first round of questions. All four of our teams advanced to the semi-finals of the competition. We are very proud of our star readers. The competition was tough but our kids persevered. Very few schools have all of their teams advance to the next level. The kids had a great time and many are already planning on making the team next year. The list of books for the 2009 competition will be out before summer vacation. It is almost time for Summer Reading!
The Louisville Public Library will again be hosting a Summer Reading Program! The Bon Air Library is a great source of books to keep your child reading all summer. Take advantage of the prizes and extra things you can win during the summer months.
