No School Mass This Week
Thanks to all the students for participating in the spring concert Derby Day events 5/1 Interim reports go home 4/30 No school 5/2 for Oaks Day Treasure Island Field Trip 5/8· Bus leaves at 9:30 returns at 1:30· Need bagged lunch· Students are in uniform
Math: We have just begun a unit on geometry. The students are using protractors and compasses to measure and construct angles. This is a completely new concept and your children may be asking for homework help.
Science: We have begun a new study of the sun, Earth, and Moon system. The students have been learning about the Moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, and the seasons. We will have a quiz over section 2 on 5/6. Please encourage your child to pay attention to the night sky and to try and determine the phase of the Moon each night.
Religion: We have been studying the story of Jesus. The students are discussing what would happen today if the same events were to take place. They are being encouraged to listen for God’s message in their lives and to take time to listen to others. |
